Christian School of York Introduces Kevin Hofer, Headmaster
Santa Rosa, California, has been home to the Hofer (pronounced hoh-fer) family for the past eleven years. Originally from southeastern South Dakota, York Christian School’s new headmaster, Kevin Hofer, and his wife, Virginia, are graduates of South Dakota State University. They hold undergraduate teaching degrees in history and English-Spanish, respectively. Kevin earned his master’s degree in secondary education administration and brings fourteen years of administrative experience to his new role. Kevin’s teaching and administrative career in Christian schools spans 17 years, in addition to the two years he spent as a public school educator in the state of Minnesota. Additionally, Kevin served as a high school basketball coach and athletic director for several years and holds a Bible degree from Colorado’s Western Bible College. Raised on a South Dakota dairy farm, Kevin accepted Christ as his Savior at the young age of seven. Sharing his faith with others, and particularly in a Christian school setting, is a ministry that Kevin considers a priority and a privilege. The Hofers, along with their five children, Jake(17), Dylan (15), Christian (14), Kennedy (10), and McKenzie (8), look forward to their upcoming move to York, Pennsylvania in June.
