Community Service Program

“I learned that volunteering can be an exciting, enjoyable, growing experience, although I was nervous at first. It is truly gratifying to serve a cause, live out my beliefs, work with people, solve problems, see benefits, and know I had a hand in them.”

In an effort to develop the habits which produce a life filled with service to others, CSY instituted a program of Community Service that will have private high school students serve their community. Each student is required to individually perform 20 hours of non-remunerated service per year of HS attendance at some point during their high school years. Upon completion of the service project(s), students will also be required to complete a paper containing reflections on what they have experienced during their service to the community.
