CSY provides high-quality Christian education that inspires hearts, minds, and souls for purposeful living.
In order for students to be accepted to CSY, at least one parent or guardian must understand the life of a born-again Christian and be open to exploring and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents are asked to honor the CSY Basis of Faith and our Parents’ Pledge statements (See “Parent Pledge and Basis of Faith” on the Home Page at the bottom). It is recommended that each family be seeking or have already joined a local church community. We ask that parents understand that educating a child requires a dedicated commitment at home in the areas of faith, parenting, community service and school.

Applying online simplifies and expedites submission and provides parents a tool for tracking the status of their application.
CSY is a Globally Responsible School and paper applications are no longer available. If you do not have computer access, you are welcome to come to CSY to begin your child’s Application Process. Entrance testing is required for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. Entrance testing is not required for Students entering CSY Preschool.
Additionally, students may not require entrance testing if they have previously taken standardized testing annually. Accepted forms of standardized testing include, but are not limited to, the PSSA, the Terra Nova, and the Stanford Achievement Test.
Entrance testing encompasses three main areas—reading, writing, and math.
After completing the application process faculty will conduct an interview with Students (6th – 12th only) and parents and/or guardians. The interview gives parents an opportunity to ask final questions to confirm that CSY is the right fit for their child’s needs. In addition, our faculty will confirm the family’s commitment to the values and mission of CSY.
Student Interview (6th – 12th grade only)
As part of the family interview, students entering 6th – 12th grades will meet their Principal. CSY encourages students to set goals with our faculty and share areas of interest with respect to electives.
Christian School of York welcomes mid-year enrollment for students moving into the area. Mid-year application takes approximately two weeks to complete. If a student enters after the school year has begun, tuition is prorated according to the actual number of days enrolled.
Not All Students and Families are Accepted
Please do not withdraw your students from their current program until you have received an official acceptance letter from CSY.
All new students are on a nine-week probationary period. During that time their academic performance, behavior, attitude along with their influence on peers are evaluated by our faculty and administrative staff. Parents will be notified if any major problems or concerns are found. Non-evidence of parental support could result in automatic withdraw. Also, a student may be dismissed, asked to withdraw, or expelled after failing to complete our disciplinary processes.
