ABOUT CSY
The Christian School of York exists to provide private, Christian pre-kindergarten through high school education that is biblically sound, Christ-honoring, and of high academic standard. Established in 1956, The Christian School of York is located on a beautiful 12.5-acre campus in Manchester Township, York, PA featuring a 21,000 sq. ft. primary and secondary education center and a 12,000 sq. ft. preschool. The Christian School of York holds dual accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International and by the Middle States Association, making its programming highly recognized by universities and colleges.
For over 65 years, The Christian School of York has remained committed to raising and graduating children that love and serve the Lord in all aspects of life.

PRESCHOOL
Pre-K 2, 3 and 4
CSY Preschool is open to ages
2 to 4 years of age. Our full and part-time classes for early learners are taught by certified teachers.
Students grow cognitively, emotionally,
physically, socially, and spirituality.
Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life.

Kindergarten - 12th Grade
LOWER SCHOOL
Grades K - 5, All subjects taught with
Biblical perspective. Developing Core
Subjects, Athletics and Arts programs.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Grades 6 - 8, Intro to Intramural Sports, Spelling Bee, Speech Meets, and Drama Club.
UPPER SCHOOL
Grades 9 - 12, Top SAT scores in York
County. Art, Band, Bible, Choir, College Counseling, Drama (Musicals and Plays), Dual Credit Courses, National Honor
Society, Student Council, Outreach Projects.

HISTORY OF CSY
From 1955 to
1969
1955 ~ The Association adopted a constitution in July 1955, and classes began in September
1956 ~ The school operated in rented facilities until the present 12.5-acre campus was purchased and seven classrooms were built in 1963.
1969 ~ Four middle school classrooms were added.
WALK THROUGH FIRE
From 1977 to
1990
1977 ~ A high school addition consisting of an office complex, sportatorium, library, science lab, business education room, art room, home crafts room, music room, and three general classrooms were added.
1980 ~ Four additional high school classrooms were constructed.
1990 ~ A fire destroyed the high school complex and sportatorium during the summer. Living Word Community Church volunteered their facilities for classrooms until our current facility was rebuilt. Classes resumed in our new facility five months later.
BEAUTY FROM ASHES
From 1996 to 2016
1996 ~ A 9,000 square foot middle school was constructed. The original classrooms were then renovated to house the Computer Center and Discovery Center.
2009 ~ The Early Education Center (EEC) was built. This 12,000 sq. ft. building was originally built to house our PK2, PK3, PK4 and kindergarten students.
2011 ~ The kindergarten classes moved into our elementary building, to make more room for our ever-expanding preschool classes.
2012 ~ CSY places second in top SAT scores in PA
2016 ~ Extended care morning and evening for Elementary and Preschool
THE ROAD AHEAD
From 2018 to future
2018 ~ Early Education Center (EEC) renamed CSY Preschool Building and CSY appoints their first female Head of School, Eden J. Hinds.
2019 ~ CSY Launches New Branding, New School Logo, New Website, Renames Sports Mascot and Designs New Sports Logo.
2020 ~ CSY launches Virtual CSY, an on-line learning platform, due to COVID-19 pandemic.
