Christian School of York Is Pleased To Announce Our New Head Of School, Dr. Jeremy Drake

Dear CSY Association Members,

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Jeremy Drake has accepted the position of Head of School!  We feel blessed to start a new chapter with Dr. Drake as our school’s leader. We are confident that his experiences in education, ministry, leadership, and his pastor’s heart equip him to lead Christian School of York with excellence. He will start his tenure on July 1, 2025.  In the interim he will spend time onboarding with Mr. Bell and collaborating with school leaders, so you may see him on campus working in this capacity.  We are thankful to all who participated in our staff survey and those who assisted in the various stages of the interview process.  This was a collaborative effort bringing together contributions from administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and CSY’s Advisory Committee.  

Included below is a photo and brief bio for those members who may be unfamiliar with Dr. Drake.   In the near future we will send out an invite to a meet and greet Monday evening May 12th.  Please join us in giving Dr. Drake a warm welcome. We are so excited for CSY’s bright future!

Introducing Dr. Jeremy Drake, New Head of School for Christian School of York, Starting July 1, 2025

Dr. Jeremy Drake has served as an educator and pastor for almost 25 years. He is currently the Executive Pastor at Church of the Open Door here in York. He began his ministry career shortly after marrying his lovely wife, Jennifer, in the metropolitan New York area. God then led him to become a math teacher in the Bronx just down the street from his closely followed Yankees! Once their family started to expand, the Drakes moved outside of Scranton, PA as Dr. Drake continued to teach in the Pocono Mountain School District. In 2013, the Lord led them to York, where he first served as the Pastor of Children and Family Ministries.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Drake graduated from Nyack College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, earned his Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary, his Master of Science in Secondary Education: Mathematics from Lehman College, a Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton, and completed his Doctor of Ministry in Theology and Apologetics from Liberty University. His son, Christopher, is an English Education major at Liberty, and his daughter, Leah, is a sophomore at CSY. Many of you may know Mrs. Drake as CSY’s high school Bible teacher. 

Dr. Drake has looked to 2 Timothy 4:7-8 as a goalpost throughout his life. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” He considers the call to disciple and lead the next generation to be one of the highest he could receive and prays that he will continue to be used by God to grow His kingdom and proclaim His glory.
